Bangalore to Thiruvalla
Lalitha Mahal – the palace in 1921 in the eastern part of the city, is an interesting house that was converted into a luxury hotel. St. Philomena’s Cathedral (1933-41) is one of the largest churches in India. It was built in neo-Gothic style, with huge stained glass. Open from 9 am to 6 pm. You can reach there by the Buses from Bangalore to Thiruvalla. English Mass is at 7 am Sunday through Friday. Government House (1805) on Irwin Rd, which was formerly the residence of the British, has a large garden, opening hours daily from 6 am to 9 pm.
