Are Cultured Pearls Real?

I’ve been asked this question several times through out my life. And I always wonder why people don’t understand that cultured pearls are real, especially since they’re probably wearing some on their Pearl Necklaces. So yes cultured pearls are real. The only difference between them and wild pearls are how they’re started. A wild pearl is formed as an oyster waits patiently for an irritant. When and if it gets one it then starts to form the pearl. Cultured pearls are formed the same way however the irritant is introduced by humans. This leaves chance out of the equation. And as I said before it’s more likely that you’re wearing cultured pearls then wild ones. And yes they’re real.
