Mini E Cars to Undergo Trials

Competition for producing green cars is hotting up. An electric Mini E will be in the UK before 2009 ends. The zero emissions Mini car is due to be tried out for 12 months and will be tested by a range of private, corporate and public sector drivers. The Mini E is likely to go into full production if it ticks all the boxes during the trials. Reaching a speed of 62mph in 8.5 secs is decent enough for most of us. That’s actually quicker than a Mini Cooper which is slightly slower at 9.1secs. At last, a conventional looking car using green technology. I can’t wait to see how it performs.
