AVG Anti-Virus vs McAfee
Let me start by saying that these two programs are not compatible with each other. You can only have one of these programs installed at a time. Both of these programs offer virus protection, spyware, and adware protection. However, with that being said, there are some differences between these two programs. One major difference is with their updating feature. When AVG updates it runs in the background and installs the updates frequently. With McAfee you have to reboot your computer after each update. There is also an avg free download available for home use. While McAfee also has a free version, AVG offers more standard features in their free download.
