MRE Meals, Great For Teaching History
10 November 2009
I’m a history teacher at my local high school and I’m always looking for ways to make learning interesting. One of the things I decided to try this semester was bring in MRE Meals for the students to eat when we started talking about World War One. Of course, the meals the soldiers ate back then weren’t nearly as good as what my students got to sample, but they got the idea. Soldiers were given ready made meals that they could eat while out on the front lines, it really drove the point home and that’s what I was trying to do.
