An Airsoft Gun for Everyday

01 January 2010

My uncle is huge into the sport of airsoft, if you can really even call it a sport. To me, it’s just a bunch of people with toy guns who run around and shoot each other, and drool over each other’s guns. Only men right? I mean, are there really nationally recognized tournaments and stuff that goes along with other sports? No. Case closed, not a sport. Anyway, I’m off the subject.

My uncle is huge into airsoft, and is raelly proud of the fact that he has a different airsoft gun for every day of the month. And if he really got out all of his guns and counted them, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was really a different gun for every day of the year. He’s obsessed.

Information on How the Accelerate Program Works

26 December 2009

I have been going to the gym and working out a couple of times a week.  Last week while I was there I was talking with one of the trainers and he was telling be about a program that he thought I might enjoy.  He said that he could get me some information on the fitness equipment and where I could buy it.  I asked him How does the Accelerate Advantage Work and is it something I can do from home.  He told me many of his clients have added this equipment to their home exercise programs and are really pleased.  He suggested that I read the brochure and see if it is something I could use.

Great Golf Players

21 December 2009

Many great golf players use golf psychology to help them win major tournaments. They knew they were very talented, but needed to score a little bit better and become more consistent to achieve an elite level. Buying more expensive equipment was not the secret and neither was practicing to the point of sheer exhaustion. It has to do with the proven scientific discipline of psychology and changing your way of thinking. It helps you over come the pressure associated with tournament play and coping with a constant barrage of questions from fans and the media. It only takes a short time to change your thinking so you can start winning.

Used Kayaks can be made from a wide variety

21 December 2009

Adventure sports are becoming more popular all over America. They are a great way to get in shape, get outdoors, and meet new people. Kayaking in particular has seen a big boost- it’s easy to try but provides enjoyment for athletes and enthusiasts with a wide range of skills. If you’re a kayaking enthusiasist looking into buying a kayak of your own, there are several things you should think about. The first is what you will likely be using the kayak for. Are you looking to kayak whitewater rapids or do tricks? Are you looking for a kayak for easy family outings? The second is condition. If you’re not buying a kayak to race or do tricks, consider buying a used kayak. They can be significantly lower in price than a new kayak and still be appropriate for all your needs. The third is to consider the materials you want your kayak to be made of. Used Kayaks can be made from a wide variety of materials, including Kevlar, fibreglass, wood, or plastic. The materials will greatly influence the cost of your kayak: while Kevlar is very light, it can very expensive, and while plastic can be cheaper, it can also be heavier. Wood kayaks are frequently a collector’s item but they have to build by you with a do-it-yourself kit.

Nike Air Pegasus

20 December 2009

The Nike Air Pegasus is Nike’s most popular cushioning shoe and was voted the best running shoe in 2006 by Runners World magazine. It has been in the Nike range for 25 years. The superior cushioning makes it a shoe suitable for those who need a lot of shock absorption and do not need much motion control. Its uses an airbag system under the heel and the forefoot. If the runner that has a foot that rolls inwards too much at the ankle joint, then this shoe will not be suitable for them. The shoe is recommended for under pronators and light weight runners.

Using your body to build itself

14 December 2009

Many people try to find workout equipment to buy and haul over to their house. Many of these machines, such as the “Bowflex” are well over $100 and even come with payment plans. It is your own body, you shouldn’t have to have a payment plan to improve it. For some truly no bull bodybuilding, all you need is your body, seriously. Get on the floor and do push-ups, and when you get used to that as the days go by, add 100 more push-ups to your workout. The same goes with sit-ups and squats. If you look back in history many people were fit and muscular, mostly due to a life of farming, but nonetheless, they only needed to put their bodies in action. These people from the past weren’t even concerned with their bodily appearance, so just imagine what you would be able to obtain when you make an actual effort to change your body.

Ballerina wearing new Air Jordans

07 December 2009

The world has certainly seen its fill of Air Jordan-wearing basketball players, but I recently saw a unique photo that struck me.  Never before has an athlete made the famed footwear look as elegant and beautiful as Barbie-Bibiana’s Air Jordan Ballerina. Set against an urban backdrop, the Air Jordan Ballerina is a juxtaposition of hard and soft, of feminine and masculine. A statuesque black ballerina strikes a classic pose on cold concrete, and when we look past her arched calves to her pointed toes we expect to see soft-bottomed ballet shoes, but instead we see iconic new Jordans. The ballerina herself seems to be smiling at our surprise; it’s commercial and cutting edge all at once, but most of all it’s terribly clever.

Low Maitenence Basketball Courts

05 December 2009

Depending on where you live, building an outside baskeball court can be a really great way to utelize some of your yard.  These courts provide a great way to get a little exercise, blow off some steam from the office, or get some fresh air.  Even in colder climates, courts can be built that are weather proof and that don’t mind the snow.  You can have a court that only gets used 9 months out of the year, and still not have to worry about shovelling your court in thewinter. Of course, if the cool spring and fall weather is still too much for you and you are building a new home, there is always an indoor option for sport courts as well.

Pastor Hits the Greens

22 November 2009

Our pastor is a humble man who spends most of his time studying for his sermons, or helping the less fortunate in our little church. He cleans the older ladies’ gutters and putters on cars for those who can’t afford to go to a mechanic. I’ve known him to spend a day fixing some one’s leaky faucet or keeping a worried parent company in the hospital waiting room. He is a good man. This Christmas we want to do something special just for him. We’re getting him Christmas golf gifts. We know he’ll enjoy them because his wife told us that he used to play frequently when he was in college. This will get him outdoors for the pure enjoyment of it all. We think it’s a great way to show our pastor that he’s not the only one who cares about others.
