I Never Felt Like My Own Person
25 January 2010
I know that a lot of people wish they had a twin, but for me it was really hard. I never felt like I was my own person. My mother dressed us identically until we were in third grade, and she always took us to the same classes. She even bought us many of the same gifts. Finally, one day I decided that I had had enough. I told my mother that I didn’t want to take piano lessons like my sister any more. Instead, I wanted blues guitar lessons. It took me awhile to convince her that I meant it, but I am go glad that I did. I feel much more like an individual now that I have my own talent.
